Job Overview
Dalda Foods Limited needs two Quality Control Officers to work in rotating shifts at its SITE area plant in Karachi. This position focuses on maintaining product quality, safety standards, and proper testing of materials and finished goods in a busy food manufacturing setup.
The company, known for its long history in edible oils and fats, follows strict rules for health, safety, and quality. This role suits graduates in science who want to start or build early experience in the FMCG sector.
Who Can Apply – Eligibility
- Education: BS or MSc in Applied Chemistry or Food Technology.
- Experience: Fresh graduates welcome, or up to 1 year in processing, packaging, or quality checking in FMCG or any manufacturing field.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Officers handle daily testing and monitoring tasks to keep products safe and consistent. Main duties include:
- Follow company rules and make sure health, safety, environment, food safety, and quality standards are met every day.
- Test incoming raw materials and packaging items using the set sampling plan.
- Check samples from raw materials, processing oil, and final products against required standards.
- Keep clear records of all tests, standardizations, environment checks, and verifications in the correct formats.
- Share daily activity reports with the relevant team members.
- Send emails right away if any test result falls outside the allowed limits during incoming, processing, or final stages.
- Prepare Non-Conformance or Supplier Non-Conformance reports when problems appear during the shift.
- Work closely with shift team members to ensure smooth handover and takeover of duties.
- Confirm startup checklists and record quality parameters in the daily quality log sheets.
- Check batch codes, price labels, and expiry dates on all product types from every machine.
- Visit and inspect loading procedures plus finished goods storage in the warehouse.
